Great tips for fixing CSS problems

I have been a bit busy with work recently so I have not posted much recently. In the process of doing lots of work I have run into lots of problems. Today I finished up on a page on the site I am working on and tested in all the usual browsers, and lo and behold Internet Explorer 6 made it look wierd.

It was the double margin bug, that I had come across before, and I have successfully fixed it. Previously I would try various things often causing me to change other things that would have broken due to the fixes. This can be a time consuming and thankless task. Fortunatly today I remembered coming across a post listing fixes for common CSS problems. I managed to re-find the post and it had an easy and efficient fix to the problem I was encountering. It saved me a load of time so I thought I would post about it incase it would help someone else.

Here is the links. It is on noupe.com which is a brilliant site. The fiix I needed was number 1 on the list. I’ve come across this problem a fair few times and can’t believe I havn’t come across this beautifully simple fix before, but so glad I now know it, I bet it will continue to save me time for as long as we have to support IE6.
